Youth Choir

Warwickshire Young Voices is celebrating it's 10th year of providing fun and exciting opportunities for children to sing.....

Thursday Evenings 6.30 - 7.30 Harbury
School Years 2 - 12

Warwickshire Young Voices was established in 2008, with a passion to provide all youngsters access to quality music education. To date they have given over 2500 local youngsters vocal coaching and experience of professional-standard live performance.

Warwickshire Young Voices provide high quality musical activities for children from 7 to 16 – through a range of classes, choirs and workshops. WYV’s main activities focus on music and vocal education through the Rising Stars and Chamber Choir.

In all activities, Warwickshire Young Voices prides itself on professionalism – with performances reaching the highest standards.

Warwickshire Young Voices are a busy group. In addition to the weekly classes and rehearsals, WYV has around 20 public performances a year – just within term time. These engagements include many prestigious events and places: Remembrance Day at The National Arboretum, Staffordshire, Evensong at Birmingham Cathedral, the Inauguration of the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, the UK’s largest Arts Festival, filming for BBC ‘Songs of Praise’ and ‘Spirit of the Countryside’ for the Archbishop of Canterbury; as well as many local events.

Despite all this, Warwickshire Young Voices is not all work! They pride themselves on being a fun activity open to any local youngster who wants to be involved and to that end include many social events for the whole family including theatre trips, movie evenings and suppers together.

Sessions focus on fun, collaborative learning led by enthusiastic and supportive leaders. All leaders are local music teachers with Enhanced DBS checks.
